Student of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Untar, Geoffrey Christian managed to obtain bronze medal in Higher Education Mathematics and Natural Science National Olympics (ONMIPA-PT) at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Saturday (17/6).
Geoffrey states that his passion in biology started by reading biology book during high school. This passion then developed to various achievements.
Initially, Geoffrey only managed to compete in Provincial level. But, through learnings he obtained throughout his study at FK Untar, Geoffrey managed to succeed to Regional level, and finally to National level.
Organized by Indonesian Talent Development Board (BPTI), ONMIPA-PT 2023 was held at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) offline from 13 to 17 June 2023.
260 students from 94 Indonesian universities participated in ONMIPA-PT, which is a higher-education level talent competition that aimed to develop creativity and innovation of students in the fields of Mathematics and Natural Science.
Geoffrey hopes other students able to follow his steps. According to him, the first step to achieve is to try.
“Don’t be afraid of trying. It is better to lose than to be sorry for not trying,” said Geoffrey. (VW/AW)
